This Christmas I’m airing my lace. Not just my bobbin lace, but also the machine made lace that I have collected over the years. The year took a few unexpected turns, and if I had to rely only on my bobbin lace output for the year I would have very little to work with!
Over the last few months I have been working on creating five new Christmas boards on Pinterest. I was so inspired by the creative ways in which people use their lace, that I decided to decorate my house with lace this festive season. I created little lace vignettes around the house where I can pause for a moment , be present, and reflect on our beautiful craft.
I miss my lace when it is packed away and rummaging through my old lace boxes and tins gave rise to great wonder, surprise, and joy.
